Simulation of Shale Gas Reservoirs Incorporating Appropriate Pore Geometry and the Correct Physics of Capillarity and Fluid Transport (09122-11)

The University of Oklahoma - Principal Investigator:  Richard F. Sigal

Objective:  The objective of this project is to provide to the exploration and production industry commercial simulators for shale gas reservoirs that incorporate the necessary physical approximations and pore geometries to provide a valid model of gas and water production. To facilitate adoption and use by E&P professionals the objective is to modify current commercial simulators by substitution of new modules containing more appropriate approximations and pore geometries.
