A Geomechanical Model for Gas Shales Based on the Integration of Stress Measurements and Petrophysical Data from the greater Marcellus Gas System (09122-32)

The Pennsylvania State University - Principal Investigator:  Dr. Terry Engelder

Objective:  The objectives of the project is to collect stress profiles in three wells in the Marcellus gas system, interpret them employing a full suite of lag and core based petrophysical data, and to develop a geomechanical model that can be used when engineering stimulations are required.

Period of Performance:  November 4, 2011  to  September 30, 2014
