Gas production Forecasting from Tight Gas Reservoirs: Integrating Natural Fracture Networks and Hydraulic Fractures (07122-44)

University of Utah - Principal Investigator:  Dr. Milind Deo

Objective:  The objective of this project is to increase gas recovery from the tight gas formations in the Uinta Basin, Utah by creating tools/mechanisms to superpose complex three-dimensional hydraulic fractures on existing sets of natural fractures, and simulating gas production from realistic models of tight gas reservoirs.

Period of Performance:  September 2, 2008 to October 31, 2012
