1st U.S. LNG Cargo arrives in China

The 1st cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the U. S. arrived at the Chinese port of Yantian near Hong Kong on Monday. China is the world’s largest energy consumer and the shipment represents a new target for U.S. natural gas supplies. U.S. LNG exporters are actively planning for more shipments to China, and marketing LNG to Japan and South Korea.
