Canada Recovers from Impact of Wildfire on Oil and Gas

The wildfires in Alberta earlier in the summer cut daily oil production by over 1 million barrels. Canadian finance Minister, Bill Morneau, told the G20 meeting in Chengdu, China that Canada's economy will rebound "over the course of the year" from the impact of a wildfire in the country’s energy heartland, Alberta. Canada’s oil and gas industry is also challenged by global uncertainties. Canada was opposed to last month’s Brexit vote in the United Kingdom, and Morneau went on to say that Canada will negotiate a separate trade deal with Britain.
