August 2, 2016 - The Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA) has elected Tom Williams as its new President. Throughout his career since holding management positions at the U.S. Department of Energy and Interior from 1989 to 1993, Tom has worked to foster programs where industry and government can successfully collaborate.
Tom stated that “this new role at RPSEA is an exciting opportunity to make a contribution during a very challenging time for the oil and gas industry and our country. It is a program where our members work together toward common goals. I appreciate the RPSEA Board’s trust in me and believe I can utilize my energy and experiences to help RPSEA as it prospers in the future.”
In his new role he will help lead RPSEA to focus on expanding the opportunities to utilize RPSEA’s unique capabilities and find real solutions that can be directly applied to solving the energy challenges of the coming decades. James Pappas will continue to lead the Section 999 program as Executive Vice President. The funding from DOE for this part of RPSEA ends in 2016.
