Join us for RPSEA’s next technical forum addressing the topic of CO₂ Operations and Opportunities to Advance Technology for Mature Fields on Monday, February 2, 2009. This forum will cover technologies and research topics needed in areas such as corrosion, field operations, reservoir delineation and CO₂ supply. Following the technical presentations, there will be a sequel to last year’s interactive, highly-informative discussion by a panel of experts. The results from this forum will provide input to RPSEA's Small Producer Program.

This forum will be held in Austin, Texas at the new AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center-Hotel at UT, located at 1900 University Avenue. Registration will begin at 11 a.m., and the forum will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and a keynote speaker followed by the technical presentations and panel discussion.

Keynote speaker Dr. Andreas Lüttge, professor of Earth Science and Chemistry at Rice University, will discuss the important issue of CO₂ corrosion. This forum offers a great opportunity to interact with Dr. Lüttge and Emil Pena, executive director of the newly established National Corrosion Center based at Rice University.

All forum participants are invited to stay and join us for a joint networking reception directly after the conclusion of the technical forum at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center-Hotel at UT. The reception is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and is sure to provide lively conversation and great contacts, along with a dynamic view of Austin's skyline. This reception will be held jointly with the The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, who is hosting the Carbon and Climate Change Conference on February 3-4, and The Texas Carbon Capture and Storage Association.
