URTAC Federal Advisory Act Meeting

The Department of Energy's Federal Advisory Committee (FACA) will meet October 13 and 14 in New Orleans to review and discuss RPSEA's 2011 Draft Annual Plan.

The FACA is made up of the Ultra-Deepwater Advisory Committee (UDAC) and Unconventional Resources Technology Advisory Committee (URTAC), in which each will spend a day and a half reviewing RPSEA's DAP.

The Department's UDAC was established to advise on the development and implementation of programs related to ultra-deepwater natural gas and other petroleum resources and review and comment on the program's annual plan.

The Department's URTAC was established to advise on the development and implementation of programs related to onshore unconventional natural gas and other petroleum resources and review and comment on the program's annual plan.

The URTAC will be the only meeting taking place at this time. RPSEA encourages all members to attend these meetings for more insight into the 2011 DAP and FACA process.
