Preparations are gearing up for the 7th Annual EOR Carbon Management Workshop and the 15th 2009 CO2 Flooding Conference scheduled for December 7-11, 2009 in Houston and Midland, Texas. The agenda has expanded to a full week over the years as the conference continues to bring together the CO2 capture and geologic sequestration sectors to the world of CO2 flooding.

Carbon Management Workshop – Houston

Highlights of the EOR Carbon Management Workshop in Houston include an opening keynote address by Chairman Victor Carrillo, Texas Railroad Commission, Monday; the Tuesday keynote address by Dr. Scott Tinker, Director of the Texas Bureau of Economic Geology; and an evening reception Monday sponsored jointly by Denbury Resources and Kinder Morgan CO2 Company.

CO2 Flooding Conference - Midland

The CO2 Flooding portion of the Conference moves to Midland Wednesday with a Field Trip to Kinder Morgan’s SACROC field and CO2 facilities in Scurry County, Texas. Case histories will be presented Thursday and Friday and include a great lineup of operations and reservoir topics and, this year, business and policy material as well. An evening reception, hosted by the Permian Basin Section of the SPE, will be held Thursday at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in Midland.
