The RPSEA Member Meeting will take place from 8-10 a.m. and will include an update on RPSEA activities in the Ultra-Deepwater, Unconventional Gas and Small Producer programs and the RPSEA organization overall. The meeting is open to all forum attendees.
The Mid-Continent Gas Shales Forum will begin at 10:15 a.m. and will highlight results from the RPSEA New Albany Shale research project and other gas shale resources in the Mid-Continent area of the United States. Topics include:

· Reservoir Engineering
· Formation Evaluation Issues
· Hydraulic Fracturing
· Sourcing of Gas in Shales, Biogenic or Thermogenic
· New Albany and Antrim Shale Producer Perspectives
Featured speakers include:
RPSEA President C. Michael Ming, who will open the meeting with an update on RPSEA activities and the importance of energy research for economic development of our natural gas resource endowment in the United States.
Department of Energy for Fossil Energy Acting Assistant Secretary Dr. Victor K. Der, who will be the luncheon Keynote Speaker providing an overview of Fossil Energy priorities under the Obama administration.
Colorado School of Mines’ Potential Gas Agency Dr. John Curtis, who will provide a perspective on the history of gas shale development from “onerous stepchild” to “premier resource.”
Join us prior to the meeting/forum on June 3 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Gas Technology Institute in Des Plaines, Illinois for a reception and tour of GTI’s facilities.

RPSEA members are invited also to the GTI Energy Technology Forum and Open House on June 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at GTI’s headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois. Those that have an interest in emerging energy technology should attend. The day will include lunch, tours, a program and a combined RPSEA reception, in which all is complimentary and should provide a good networking opportunity with others in the clean energy field.
