Fracture in Devonian Black Shale of the Appalachian Basin Workshop
To be held on January 8-9, 2008 at the National Research Center for Coal & Energy on the Evansdale Campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. RPSEA is co-hosting this event along with the PTTC Appalachian Region and the Appalachian Geological Society.
This workshop is designed to provide a technical understanding of fractures in Devonian rocks and an explanation for fracture generation during burial and tectonic deformation. Ample time has been set aside for questions, exercises and to discuss issues with Devonian black shales.
