Interactive Workshop Focusing on Induced Seismicity
The relationship between hydraulic fracturing and increased seismic activity has generated considerable public interest in the mid-continent. Presentations at the RPSEA Induced Seismicity workshop will address the technical issues through analysis of geology, geophysics, reservoir modeling, fluid injection strategies and rock mechanics. The goal is to provide a clearer picture of the impact of fluid injection on local seismic events. This workshop, sponsored by RPSEA and the National Energy Technology Laboratory, presents an opportunity for geologists, engineers and field operators in the Texas area to explore these seismic issues and hear an update on injection technologies.
A courtesy room block is available for November 3 at the Houston Marriott South Hobby Airport - $142 per night; ask for RPSEA Onshore Technology. reserve by October 20, 2015 for discount. 1-713-943-7979.
