We look forward to seeing you on Monday, April 7, 2008 for a technical forum addressing Alaska’s Unconventional gas resources. The results from this technical forum will provide input to RPSEA’s program by identifying the specific challenges and technology needs of the arctic and sub-arctic environments. Please join the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the host for this forum, in brainstorming and identifying those challenges to unlocking and developing Alaska’s Unconventional gas resources.

This forum will be held at the BP Energy Center located at 900 E. Benson Blvd. in Anchorage. A map along with directions for this facility has been included as an attachment. Due to room capacity this form will be limited to the first 70 registrants. While there are a number of hotel facilities in the area the Marriott Residence Inn is conveniently located directly across the parking lot from the BP Energy Center. Tom Irwin, Commissioner, Alaskan Department of Natural Resources is the key note speaker for this forum. After the keynote presentation there will be a number of technical presentations followed by breakout sessions on gas shales and tight gas sands, CBM and produced water, and heavy oil and flow assurance. These breakout sessions are designed for maximum participation and networking.
