Please save the date of Wednesday, April 23, 2008 for a RPSEA technical forum addressing the timely and important topics of CO2 enhanced oil recovery and carbon sequestration. This forum will cover technologies currently working and those needing development or evaluation for CO2 EOR, storage monitoring/surveillance technologies, producer perspectives on the role of new research and various other subjects related to enhanced oil recovery and carbon sequestration. As with our other forums and workshops, the results from this technical forum will provide input to RPSEA’s program by identifying specific challenges and technology needs of CO2 EOR and carbon sequestration.
In addition to the forum, all forum participants are invited to join us for a reception directly after the conclusion of the technical forum (reception hours are from to on April 23rd). This reception, which is at the hotel and sponsored by Chevron and the EOR Institute of Laramie, WY, will be held jointly with the University of Texas School of Law who is hosting an important and first-of-a-kind 2-day conference on the legal considerations for Carbon and Climate Change starting on April 24th. This reception will provide a unique opportunity for our forum participants to interact with the leading problem-solving legal minds in this arena along with other scientists, financiers, and executives and advisors to the energy industry and utility sectors who will be attending the event.
